DATE: 09/09/00
TIME: 7:30pm
LOCATION: Manitoba, Canada, Southern Manitoba, the number one highway
TERRAIN: Wooded
OBSERVED: My dad and I were coming back from a hunting trip the day of his birthday. We went hunting around where my grandma and grandpa live. As we were driving, we saw something ahead of us walking down the road. I questioned my dad about what it was and his reply was that he didn't know. So my dad sped up a bit and as we got closer it looked like a tall black thing and it turned and saw us and it ran to the other side of the road and then ran back and then turned again and ran to the other side of the road and into the bush. My dad and I got to the spot where we saw it as fast as we could and we never saw anything so we drove by a couple more times and still never saw anything. I was too scared to get out and look around. So we just went on our way home. When we got home my dad called his brothers who live about one hour from the spot and he told them about it. So the next day they went out there and looked around for tracks or anything and they saw tracks like something had been dragging its feet on the road and into the bush.
ACTIVITIES OF WITNESSES: We were just driving down a gravel road.
DESCRIPTION OF CREATURE: Tall black thing.
OTHER NOTES: We never heard anything but we saw something for sure!
OTHER SIGHTINGS IN THIS AREA: Not that I know of. I could ask my grandfather who has lived there his whole life.
