Sighting Text:
+0382600 -0902200 Aug 10th, ‘98 Joshua ARMSTRONG was again in the forest near ARNOLD, JEFFERSON CO, MO. Near Fox Creek he found six dead fish on the ground that weighed in the 5-10 pound area. They were all catfish except one was a carp with a lot of scales on the ground around it. All had been eaten the same way, the stomach missing, the rest of the fish abandoned. Any normal animal would eat the whole thing, but we think Bigfoot might not like bones (though catfish are not bony, having a primitive cartilage structure). He felt creepy and left. From several miles behind in the park, there was lots of high pitched screaming. Joshua heard the pounding of rocks together, and approached the area. This was at least a mile past the Burlington Northern RR tracks that cross the Meremac River (It drains to the Mississippi about ten miles away). He watched a Bigfoot for about ten minutes clacking the rocks (he had heard the clacking for a total of 15 minutes), then the creature picked up a log and started hitting trees with it, and making a loud noise. The rock pounding, at first he thought it was making tools or weapons because the Bigfoot would break away a piece of stone then turn it and break it again. The log, with this he knew exactly where it was and didn’t look for it, then he started hitting this tree again. Then he smelled a something dead, and went slowly forward a couple of steps to see a dead deer, its guts hanging out, and crawling with bugs. Then Joshua touched the deer and the thing screamed, and they looked right at each other. He had banged the logs 2-3 minutes before he saw Joshua, though he recalls that the tree banging had stopped while he was walking, so maybe it was watching him. Joshua ran, and this time he can’t recall it chasing him. He recalls that it was the most frightening time he could ever remember, but still his curiosity held him there to watch the creature. The creatures in both sightings looked physically alike, and indeed, might have been the same creature... the creature was covered in long brown knotted hair except for the hands, chest, feet and most of the face, it had a flat nose. There were no shoulders or it was hunched, and it had arms down to its knees. It had large hands and smelled like a big wet dog. Both had dark eyes, sloped foreheads, but had no mean monster teeth or anything scary...just an animal. It looked more like a man crossed with an orangutan. It was at least 7’8” or 8 feet tall. On the second sighting the creature was 50 yards away and it was 12:40 PM. The droppings resemble human droppings and he’ll try to get a sample for us. Joshua also noted that the creature was on the ground when clacking rocks, and when it stood, it didn’t throw it’s arms forward for balance...it just stood straight up from sitting with his knees bent in front of him. Joshua, who is 20, six foot three, works in a Wal-Mart store in electronics. Other notable animals in the area are bobcats and coyote, but no bears. He has mentioned Bigfoot to others and they said there was an albino one in the same area, but he has never seen it. The area was in dense forest, and it was very hot. Further e-mail note from Joshua: For this week, having just started my Sasquatch study again, I have found more evidence that a Sasquatch or Sasquatch-like creature is feeding in my area. Fox Creek, August 14,1998, 9:37am. Checking the usual places along the creek I found 2 fish one of which was unrecognizable and the other one was on a tree limb above it about 7 feet up from the ground. Only one track was found, it was a half- track where only the heel and big toe were recognizable. It measured in at 22 and 1/4 inches. I could not find anymore tracks due to the large amount of other animal tracks in the same area. These tracks consisted of a bobcat, various birds and I believe a skunk. August 16,1998. Following a short rain I went to the area under study and found nothing. However there was some evidence of forcefully broken limbs that led off my normal trail heading NE. They were all broken on the same sides of each tree, each one visible from the next. The trail of broken limbs went off to the north east and then turned south to parallel my own trail from about 50 feet away. This trail ended at the same place that I have been finding the fish. My first conclusion is that whomever broke these branches intended them as trail markers (recall that last issue, #79, Steve Williams reported this activity).*

Sighting Text:
MO MORGAN 1993 TR#83 * Lee Nash, Second encounter. Morgan County, MO, about 10-12 miles outside of Versailles. It was back in October of 1993, when a friend, Ben, and I, ventured out on a country road (Z).to an abandoned farm house, so we thought anyway. It was late that night, just after we got off work. We headed out for Z road, where we came to the old farm house. It was surrounded by several hay bales. It was dark and cool outside. We ventured upstairs, noting there were five rooms, the stairs were brittle. The first room we came to had numerous piles of poop, and a hideous rank smell. Each room was like that . We looked around for a few minutes, and suddenly I smelled this hideous odor again...with a blink of a eye I felt as if we were being watched. Ben and I stood still for a second. About that time I felt a hot smelling breath on the back of my neck. I then pushed Ben forward and we ran as fast as we could. This thing was screaming at us with a blood curdling tone of voice. As we made our way towards my 77 Olds, we stopped and saw whatever it was. It wasn't in pursuit of us anymore. It suddenly threw a, what it appeared to be, wooden desk out of the second floor window. Needless to say we boogied out of there. We returned about an hour later, with some friends, but found nothing
