SC BEAUFORT 1966 TR100 ELV 11 322553N 0804012W --Spring 1966, witness and husband on cold moonlit night took a ride to South Pier, Beaufort, S.C., and saw something move behind a rock. The area was thick with trees and brush. It looked like an ape hunched over, swinging it’s arms and walking towards us. Dave turned on lights and creature darted into the woods running faster than any human. The moon was very bright and you could see the silhouette running through the woods. Talking later to friends at the same spot they said an ape bashed their trunk in.

Sighting Text:
SC DORCHESTER, 1993 TR94 BFRO* J.J. in July 1993, was on the Santee River, one mile from Santee Dam, Dorchester Co., near Pineville, S.C. Witness as a boy lived on banks of Santee, and would camp during the summer, knew the area well. J.J. and girlfriend set up the camp a day early, jumping off from Wilson’s Landing, a bait shop, behind the dam. Below the dam is an island that is very swampy and full of snakes. though witness has an uncle that still hunts there. Hs says he has heard something there, but doesn’t know what it is, so I told him my story...”he didn’t laugh.” The island has lots of deer, wild hogs, and its been said that there are bear and alligators. Back to witness. For some reason at night the deer were jumping in the river making lots of noise, and witness was getting a bit nervous. Something came up the brushy 50 foot deep ravine, breaking branches and you could hear dirt falling from the banks. They headed for the truck looking for the gun, couldn’t find it, and started the truck to get out of there, praying he wouldn’t get stuck. Suddenly realized what he was doing, and turned around and headed back, driving two miles per hour on high beam. This thing stepped out in front of the truck and witness hit the brakes...there were two long hairy legs...and witness backed up, this was no bear, but 7-8 feet of something big, hairy, and wet. It stooped a bit from the waist, and had the reddish eyes witness had ever seen...and it just stared at them in a frozen position, just stood there. He now believed his granddad was telling the truth of something in the woods when he was a boy. The creature finally looked to the left, leaned as his leg started to turn, then took a three foot stride until it was out of sight into the woods. Witness said earlier that he didn’t believe in Sasquatch...but now has no other explanation. The next day there were huge footprints. There were broken branches in the ravine, and places where dirt was dug out from the ravine. Witness recalled an awful smell, like dead fish or animal.

Sighting Text:
Rabbits scared; pen damaged; claw marks; no small creatures around, I don't know if this means anything; but 6-7 years ago I had two rabbits in a pen at the edge of my property. One night when I went to check on them they seemed very scared. The next day when I was feeding them I noticed that the back of the wooden pen had somehow been damaged. There were long claw marks and what looked like something had tried to gnaw through the wood. My husband said it must have been dogs; but it didn't come back. There is an absence of squirrels; snakes and small creatures; and a lot of my cats have mysteriously disappeared over the years.,

* Sherry S.; 6/28/94; Newberry; SC. Where I live in the country there are forests behind my property. One day last summer (1993) while hanging out some clothes; I had a strange feeling I was being watched. I looked towards the woods and saw a rustling in the bushes; and caught a glimpse of something I couldn't explain. It seemed the shape of a human; only larger; and when I looked it's way; it was gone very quickly. I've heard them three times late at night making sounds like something whirling or whistling; and buzzing noises too. (Credit this report to Bill Green; NEBFC),

summer,1993 Sighting, Near Newberry, Outline of head; arm; and shoulder; seen for 5 sec’s, over 6 ft; light brown fur, Then a few weeks later I was dumping some old food at the edge of the garden. When I looked over at a gully where I had seen deer before; there was a definite outline of a head; arm; and shoulder. It stood very still for about five seconds; and then it was gone; causing the bushes to move when it left. It was over six feet; and it didn't have skin or clothes; but a light-brown fur.,

Sighting Text:
SC 1997 ORANGEBURG TR#71 SCOTT MCNABB REPORT July 15th 1997. Orangeburg, South Carolina. The witness, 14 year old Jackie Hutto, saw a Bigfoot shaking the fence of his dog pen. Jackie described the creature as; 8-8.5 feet tall, covered over most of its body in black hair. Its face and chest were bald, and the skin was thick looking and brown in color. He said the teeth were clenched and were big, "blocked shaped" and stained, and its eyes were big and round. The boy said that creature was clearly a male, judging by its genitalia. He also noticed a worn spot on each knee of the creature that was about the size of a 50 cent piece. Jackie also mentioned that the Bigfoot smelled like a goat. No footprints were found after the encounter. Jackie said that as the creature ran off into the woods, it grunted slightly with every step.
