I am starting this thread to discuss the Oklahoma Hand and Knuckle prints. I unfortunately didn't get pictures of the knuckles, but I hope those who did will post them here.

I also would like for those involved to post their insights to this event.
Biggjimm brought the cast by that him, Laughsquatch and Gearman had cast. He told me that there was a track down there that I might want to cast. The next day, Monday, I loaded up the four wheeler and Cherokee Rose and we went out to take a look.

Here are photos of the bank where the hand print was found.

Oh and I want to add while we where waiting for it to setup enough to move it, I was clowning around and bent over a sapling and laid some dead fall over the end of it just as sign from me to the BF that left the prints. It was in the woods above the prints and back in a couple yards. Holding my hand up , it was me Also there are some dandy photos of the knuckles and finger marks from before any was cast. I just don't remember whos camera it was.

I believe that Bushmen and 3-G Research have pics of these before we cast them, although I don't know if 3-g ever found his camera or not after he misplaced it.

I will be posting my entire account of the events when I get a little more time.

These were found by Arkansas Tracker 20' +/- from the bank, near a low water road crossing.

Hey 3-G, so what did you and AT think they were made by, knuckles, toes, etc?

I ask because I found similar at one of my sites a while ago, and I've never been able to figure out what made them:

Arkansas Tracker deserves all the credit for locating the prints. I do feel they are knuckle prints IMHO. The scene where they were found is a good observation point to the trail the members walked the night before. If something wanted to observe their movements this would have been a good vantage point. Upon arriving at the area the next day after the members night hike, A.T. Was just getting back from a day hike. A.T. Brought us along with Bushman and Squatchfinder to the sight. While they were preparing to cast, I did find what seemed to be track impressions in the rock around the area. Also there were a couple of older tracks the rain from the days before had distorted and were not really worth casting. It appeared to be a well used area, and I feel at least one of the locals had either felt it needed to hide from detection or was there out of curiosity.

Forestguy, like 3-G said we believe them to be knuckle prints. It seemed a bit funny to me at first being that there was only three fingers in the impression but 3-G reminded me about something I've seen before but for some reason did not think about. He mentioned how other apes walk on their knuckles and I remembered that I have seen this many times with other apes. For some reason or another they seem to walk on only three knuckles. I do not know why they do this but if other apes do then I suppose that it wouldn't be impossiable for BF to do it as well.

Also your last two pictures seem to me to be the same type of track that we found although it seems that maybe in second to last picture that the maker of the track may have slid a little bit. Which causes some distortion but still I think you may have had a knuckle print. I been doing some research and thinking about these and think it would be pretty safe to say that the deeper more well defined area would probably be where the bigger knuckle is and therefore would be your direction of travel. Of coarse this all just my opinion and mostly speculation, but hey that is how we learn.

Does anyone have a pic showing the two knuckle prints before casting on the ground side by side in one pic and how far apart were they?

To be honest, that photo didn't turn out with any detail. ( it was blurry) They were approx 3 1/2' apart, but Josh prob has the exact measurements.

There were also possible foot impressions in the immediate area. I took photos of two different areas which had 19" impressions that were accompanied by 16" impressions. Also, along the rock bed, there were several places 16" long where the rocks were compacted. I weighed 211 @ the time, and was not leaving an indication of where I had stepped.
