TR 65 MAR 97 A last report of the Anchorage Daily News, Nov. 17, 1992, Don Hunter, told of the "Hairy Man," Tracks in the thin snow and frost were found about 15 miles from the Manokotak village, where Nicholai Gwim Alakayak, son of the village public safety officer, flew to examine the site. He estimated the tracks at 16 inches long. Fish and Game biologist Larry Van Daele said the description of the hairy man in the ravine is consistent with "fairly common stories" of elusive ape-like creatures said to inhabit Alaska and other wild regions. "It's taller than a normal human being and covered with dark hair," Van Daele said, "It's said to possessgreat speed and jumping ability."

Sighting Text:
AK TR24 * Tim Rich reports that his, friend Iris S., now 70, said that she and her husband were over-wintering 20 years ago at a logging mill near Juneau, AK. They were the winter caretakers, and stayed in a mobile-home. One night Tim said, she told him there was "one hell of a noise." She and her husband went to investigate, and saw a seven foot Bigfoot that was really mad. There was a storage area of 55 gallon fuel drums, and it was throwing these all around. Tim said that she swore to God it was real. (Seems this Bigfoot, or his son, visited northern California's Jerry Crew also.)

Sighting Text:
AK MISG 1997 TR#82 * From the Internet. Echo Ranch Bible Camp, Juneau, Alaska, during company retreat, spring 1997. “My friend, James Roberts, was walking along on one of the many long paths through the dark woods at Echo Ranch. Then five 7' tall Sasquatches appeared from the darkness and proceeded to throw stones at James as if to scare him away from their home” in the deep spruce forest. The path James was on was about seven miles from any building, and several hundred feet above sea level in an alpine valley. Other witness that heard James cry out were about 100 yards away and deer hunting. Sent questions to this individual also, but have failed to get a response.
