Summary: DWARFS OF PYBUS BAY
Sighting Text:
TR 91 SEPT 1999 * Rob Alley, Ketchikan, AK. Read a neat little reference to dwarfs of Pybus Bay, Alaska, in Steve Hilson's "Exploring the Inside Passage- Puget Sound and BC," nautical gazetteer pub by Evergreen Press, volume two-(that deals with the northern half), Seems like the natives didn't like to go there, it's up near Juneau. They were friendly and didn't bother the natives much but they were so heavy that a native couldn't pick one up. Counting Thomas Bay story by Colp and Mr. Watson's story, 40's, from Hecata Island N of Klawock, makes three accounts of little critters running around in Alaska, add the Nootka "little people of the Walbran" and the Puget Sound Twana "Little Earths" makes five.

Day:
Month: SUMMER
Year: 1970s

Elevation: 4012
Data Source: TR 79 JUN 98
Credibility: 3
Locality: Black Rapids Glacier
Researcher: CRC
Witness: ARMY MEN
Sighting Type: 1
Summary: BF SEEN CROSSING SNOW
Sighting Text:
TR 79 JUN 98 * Posted to Internet. A dozen Army people were training in the late 70’s at Black Rapids Glacier, Alaska. Off Richardson Highway south of Delta Junction. It was summer, warm, clear, and the group was above the treeline. They had been camped there several days, when witness looked across the valley and at the base of a steep mountain about half a mile away, saw movement. Something crossed the snow, plainly not a bear. It walked upright with long strides, arms swinging, and moved fast across the white snow. It was dark in color. The base of the steep mountain was in bare rocky terrain, and snowfields descended down the gullies on the hillside. Witness pointed it out to his friends, and they watched until it was out of sight. Witness was telling a friend and he said he had found tracks in the sand out by King Salmon, Alaska. They were over two feet long and human looking.
