Sighting Text:
AK Wrangell-Petersburg 2000 TR100 565833N 1335650W ELV 610 I have a report from Kake, Mitkof Island, (same Island as Petersburg) actually in the town, dated February this year, where a man and his girlfriend driving into town at night said they saw a five-foot, dark brown or black Sasquatch leap out of the ditch less than fifty yards in front of their car and run up a six foot sloping ditch. There was about an inch of snow. The next day a Kake road crewman reported numerous tracks nearby, no size given. Sasquatches are most often reported walking or standing still, blending into the surroundings. They usually seem to run only for purposes of pursuing fast game or evasion if caught on a road or open spot, and not always then. I've almost run out of running reports. I have two more old second hand and third hand stories that are related to pursuing game.
