Is anybody familiar with the Trail Between the Lakes? It runs from Sam Rayburn Reservoir to Toledo Bend Reservoir. It seems really secluded as it has only 2 FM roads cutting across it and 30 miles long.

No but I do have a report from tolido bend.In parts of it, there are a lot of cypress. A guy was fishing in a pond hopper and heard some one slogging through shallow water and looked up to see a reddish-tan colored upright figure moving towards land. He said it was about 300 ft away, stood he estimated around 7 ft. He also said just south of the hwy 21 bridge across the lake on the Texas side there is a small island, just a few acres that the local fishermen call ape island. He wondered if they were connect to the creature he saw.

That is really incredible. It seems that it is always the folks just doing regular stuff that have these encounters. The one time I may have seen one...we thought it was a meth freak running around in the Sabine River bottoms wearing a hoodie. Then we realized no one was out there in March. Raining and cold... no vehicle on a 17000 acre deer lease. We still laugh today about it. We were actually looking for.land to research on. Luckily, he ended up in Leflore county....
